Lapture Community Guidelines

Last updated: 3 June 2025**

Lapture is a platform built for creators and communities. Whether you’re hosting a free group, running a paid community, or joining a chat as a fan or customer, we want your space on Lapture to feel safe, respectful, and constructive.

These Community Guidelines apply across all Lapture Chat spaces and interactions.

1. Respect Others

  • Treat all members with kindness, courtesy, and respect.
  • Avoid personal attacks, harassment, or intimidation.
  • Respect differing opinions, backgrounds, and identities.

2. Zero Tolerance for Hate, Discrimination, or Abuse

  • Do not post content or messages that include:
    • Hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory remarks
    • Threats, harassment, bullying, or stalking
    • Sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise harmful material

3. No Spam or Self-Promotion in Inappropriate Spaces

  • Do not post unsolicited ads, referral links, or repetitive promotional content.
  • Creators may share content relevant to their own communities.
  • Always follow the space owner’s rules about what’s allowed.

4. No Scams, Misinformation, or Fraud

  • Do not use Lapture to spread false information, impersonate others, or deceive users.
  • Selling counterfeit, pirated, or illegal content is strictly prohibited.

5. Keep It Safe for All Ages

  • Communities must be clearly marked if they include adult or sensitive themes.
  • Do not share pornographic or sexually explicit material unless explicitly permitted by the community owner and compliant with applicable law.

6. Encourage Collaboration and Positivity

  • Ask thoughtful questions, give constructive feedback, and support fellow members.
  • Be welcoming to newcomers.

7. Reporting and Moderation

  • Every Lapture Chat includes a Report button to flag inappropriate content or conduct.
  • Lapture may remove content, issue warnings, suspend access, or permanently ban accounts that violate these guidelines.
  • Serious violations (e.g. threats, hate speech, child exploitation) may be reported to the appropriate authorities.

8. Community-Level Rules

  • If you're part of a space hosted by an organisation or creator, they may publish their own Community Policy.
  • These policies can extend (but do not override) Lapture’s platform-wide Guidelines.
  • Organisation admins are responsible for enforcing their local policies in addition to these Guidelines.

9. A Note on Enforcement

  • Lapture reserves the right to remove any content or restrict any account that violates these Guidelines.
  • We aim to enforce rules fairly, but decisions may be made quickly to keep the community safe.
  • If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may contact [email protected].
